Around the School...
The children in Mrs. M's Pre-K class kicked off the school-wide focus on books by celebrating Curious George's birthday this past October. Mrs. Hartelius' three-year-old class had a birthday party for Corduory. Bright Start wrapped up 2011 with a building-wide reading of The Polar Express. To kick off January 2012, the two-year-olds will be focusing on the Spot the Dog series.
February 1, 2012 kicks off our next school fundraiser with Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. It will end on February 17, 2012, with delivery in mid-March, just in time for Easter and Passover! As always, our fundraising helps fund our "specials" - art, music, and dance programs.
Mrs. M's class will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on February 7, 2012 (unless of course, we have a snow day!). You can consult the website (below this text) to see if Bright Start is closed or delayed due to inclement weather. Generally, we follow the Caldwell-West Caldwell district's call.
Various Valentine's Day celebrations will take place the week of February 14, 2012. Information regarding the specific classroom celebrations will be sent home by each class teacher.
In the next few weeks, information regarding September enrollment will be going home. Registration is always on a first come, first serve basis. Spots are limited for the 2012-2013 school year. Reserve your child's seat early!
